The UK's unofficial Sonic the Hedgehog convention.
It all started in 2014, with a small party we threw off-the-cuff called Weston Super Sonic. After a bout of great fortune and generous donations, Weston Super Sonic grew into something more. Dozens turned into hundreds, and those hundreds would descend upon Weston from all over the country to catch up with old friends as well as meeting new ones, all whilst being able to catch up with any of our specially invited guests.
This culminated with the fifth and final Weston Super Sonic event, taking place in early 2022, and it reiterated something important. This community of fans, when brought together can do some unbelievable things, whether that's raising money for charity, forging new friendships or even giving long-term fans a chance to meet some personal heroes.
That's where Sonic Fanfest comes in. We want to bring the collective energy and positivity to even more Sonic fans. To turn this small 200 person event into a large-scale unofficial convention, capable of welcoming up to 1000 attendees.
We don't only intend to up the scale, but we also want to up the ambition too. Going forwards, we intend to bring Sonic Fanfest to every corner of the UK, allowing Sonic fans across the nation a selection of nationwide locations to celebrate this iconic character and community. Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow, London... Anything is possible. The more support we get from the community, the more fans we can bring events to!
Our goal is to share and celebrate the hard work of the Sonic the Hedgehog community and embrace our collective appreciation of the blue blur, with the fans at the heart of everything we do.

"I’m a freelance illustrator and, in terms of Sonic, I’ve done various social media pieces since 2019 and two covers for IDW so far.
This year, I also did the reverse side of the reversible covers for both Sonic Origins Plus and Sonic Superstars, as well as the Superstars cover for Game Informer Magazine. I’m probably best known for Classic Sonic artwork, mostly in the old airbrushed style the Japanese covers used to have. "
